G. W. F. Hegel

Presentation

Our Journal takes its name from the Greek god Aión, which was used in the ancient Greece to designate the eternal or infinite time that give origin to the human time (Chronos) and because of which is possible that a measure and reason of the world came to life. The aim, similarly, is that the reflections that are called to be presented here point to think that that always has been, that has remained, and that nevertheless continues giving life to our desire for give reason of the world until today.

This Journal is dedicated to the publication of written reflections that have any concern on our alma mater’s (Universo Arke) premise, namely: "Knowledge of Psyche and Service to Humanity ". The reflections must belong to the fields of psychology (especially Depth Psychology) and/or philosophy. Regarding to the idea “Knowledge of Psyche”, we expect publications focused on the notions of psyche, soul, consciousness, or mind in modern sense; on what means to know and the knowledge as such, as well as on the knowledge of psyche. Regarding to the other part, i. e., " Service to Humanity ", we receive writings oriented to the notions of the human, work in and with groups or communities, on what means to serve others (taking serve in the sense of a desire of understand what the other may be) and on the wide notion of serving to another person. In other words, what Aión seeks to cultivate as a field of reflection and written production, is the relation existing between the idea of knowledge of psyche and service to the humanity and philosophy and psychology as areas of human knowledge.

Ours is a half-yearly online publication. We publish Translations (mainly those relevant to extend the bibliography that has been written in other languages on psychology or philosophy and has not been translated into Spanish yet), Articles (research results, theoretical or descriptive), Case Studies and Books Reviews (analytical and descriptive). To know more information about the requirements for presentation of papers, we ask to the reader to visit the section " For the author ".

The expression 'human nature' is usually taken to represent something fixed and constant. … men are still the same as they always were, ... vices and virtues have remained constant despite changing circumstances. One might fittingly add with Solomon that there is nothing new under the sun. G. W. F. Hegel
